Verve Jewelry designer, Christy Jackson, draws on a combination of elegant edge and modern bohemian influences to create her sophisticated and eclectic signature style.
"I officially started Verve in 2006 after years of making jewelry for myself and friends. Creativity has always been a necessary outlet for me and something I need for grounding and happiness. Making jewelry was a natural progression for me as I have always loved jewelry, especially vintage designers like Trifari and Edward Colonna. I get inspiration from nature, "new/old stock" components I find, and the gemstones themselves. I like to incorporate vintage parts, along with my own lost wax work, to make pieces that are modern but with a sexy, vintage vibe.
I believe that jewelry has a mind of it's own, and will go the direction it wants to! I will start out with an idea and as the piece is being worked out, something entirely different will emerge. So I allow the process to flow organically and put my focus on the fun and creative aspect of it. My goal is to create jewelry that women can feel emotionally connected to. I want my jewelry to be a storyteller for the women who wear it."
Christy lives in Long Beach, CA with her husband, 2 kids and 2 dogs. She is passionate about animal rescue and believes it is important to "be the change you want to see in the world." A portion of Verve's sales are used to support animal rescue groups both local and worldwide.
